| - Shear Synergy Salon is my go-to salon for now on. I feel like their price is fair, the location is convenient for me, and the service is good. I really love going to Anita as her work on your hair is excellent. The washes are relaxing and despite them being fairly long she never seems to be annoyed and inconvenience by them which is awesome since she does use quite a bit of strength to thoroughly massage your scalp. The cut she gives are great, I can never complain about them and her personality is utterly adorable. She's so sweet and it doesn't feel awkward at all having her cut my hair. She is my go-to stylist.
However, I did decide to try a different stylist at the salon and quite frankly, my experience was unfortunately not the same. I wish I could tell you which hairdresser it was but she didn't even introduce herself when I came in. She seemed aggravated which I thought was fair because everyone has bad days and I don't mind just sitting in silence. To be honest, with her I really wish it was in silent. Whenever we talked I felt like she would CONSTANTLY go back into talking about how awful and weak the condition of my hair was. At the beginning I thought it was fine, I recognize my hair isn't the greatest quality and I'm really trying to work on that. I would love to get some advice from a hairdresser however having her constantly go on about the condition of my hair got really tiring. Truthfully, it felt like all she did was try to push the products to me instead of trying to give actual advice. I recognize hairdressers get commission from selling products but I think spending an hour insulting someone's hair really isn't the way to do it. I left without buying anything because the sale just felt very in genuine. As for the service, the hair really wasn't anything to write home about and was fine and the head massage was quite short and less intense then Anita's.
Overall, my advice is to go to Anita. Gives excellent work and if I had just exclusively gone to her, my review would be 5/5.
