  • So...here's my review. I was never able to see if their brake service was any good because to me their customer service was lacking. First, I've been hearing squeaking in my back brakes for a bit...so I decided to try yelp. I read many of the reviews on this site about Mr. Brake and saw nothing, but the best. I was off work this past Friday (6/16/17) and decided to drive about 25 - 30 minutes to have them look at them. I enter the front door around 1:30pm give or take and saw a bald guy sitting at the computer. He didn't really turn his back to see who just entered, but he was intently looking at the computer...no biggie (I don't need the insincere welcome that most places are giving these days). I tell him that I need my brakes looked at. He asks if I have an appointment and I say no. He stated they are booked solid this weekend and that I'd have to make an appointment for next week. I stood there for a second, looked at him, grinned, shook my head and said "I'll find somebody else". That's pretty much it. How did he go wrong? Well, and this is just my opinion... I'm in the shop now and to not even offer to look at them and give a quote makes little sense to me. Do something more than let me walk away with nothing in hand. Mr. Brake paid $0 in marketing to get me there...just yelp word of mouth. I'm sure Mr. Brake is making tons of money and my few dollars don't matter, but I sure won't be driving another 25-30 minutes to come back for an appointment. I just can't understand how anyone would let someone walk out of their shop without giving that person something other than I'd have to make an appointment for next week. In any event, that's just me and I don't care how good a shop is... my first impression is that there is something missing in the "keep business in house and and don't let them go somewhere else" department. But that's just me and now I'm searching once again for another brake place on yelp. Fyi...make an appointment first with these guys because they are obviously so busy they can't even give a "what problems are you having" or "How many miles are on your vehicle" or anything that would make you feel like they want your business. Oh well, moving on.
