I am visiting my parents from California. My 11 month old had an upper respiratory flare up and started wheezing pretty bad. Since we do not have her albuterol meds with us we visited this urgent care. The office was pretty empty with maybe two people ahead. She first said it would be about a 1.5 to 2 hour wait, I said no problem. Then she said it would be $145 for the visit... again I said no problem. I filled out all of the paper work and was waiting for about 20 minutes. I could hear the conversation between to the two front desk girls about wanting to go home on time and how they didn't like people coming in after 7pm. She told me maybe I should go to the ER because they wouldn't charge me. I told her I didn't want to expose my baby to the flu and she insisted I leave to the Er even though her cough wasn't bad at all. The Er around the corner was phenomenal and I'm glad I didn't stay where I wasn't wanted. You would think that a business would like to make money?
