| - I arrived early to make sure tables were set up for my group of 6 ladies who were joining me. At 6 pm, the ladies started to arrive and our waitress took drink orders. Once we were all there, it had already gotten busy and our waitress started taking longer coming around to us. We all mainly ordered appetizers and a couple of burgers. Nothing that should take long to prepare and send out. After AN HOUR of not getting our food, I got up and stepped away from my group and asked what the delay was. I was told that it shouldn't take much longer. I saw other people who arrived after we did receive their food before us. Finally, 15 minutes later our food arrived. I ordered the bruschetta, but it was not normal bruschetta with tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, basil. It was sweet with some kind of strawberry mash with cheese on top and balsamic vinegar reduction on top. The menu did not say it would have cheese on it and I'm very lactose intolerant. But for times sake, rather than send it back, I picked the cheese off of it and ate the rest but it was too sweet and not at all what I expected. The shoestring french fries was the best thing for me. And those were precut frozen. For a higher end restaurant, I wasn't impressed or pleased and 20 bucks later for a piddly little unappetizing appetizer and glass of wine, I can promise I won't be back. No concession was made for the unbelievable delay in getting our food. The whole "Chef" history and background leaves me underwhelmed considering the food was just OK.
