Wow. W-O-W. I live in LA and never been to Scarpetta here. My first experience was in Vegas. Wow. Oops I said it again but it deserves another wow. We were a group of 13 girls and every single one of us raved about the food, service & experience. We had a long big table in the back in a private section of the restaurant. Our waiter was so gracious and patient (again we were 13 girls...). He made sure to explain the different dishes and suggested what he said were the favorites. Before our food came, the bread arrived. I think I would have still given the place 5 stars based on the bread. The salami cheese bread. Holy moly. SOOOO delicious. We shared a bunch of starters. The creamy polenta-to die for. You must order it if you only order one starter. The scallops were also so tasty & yummy. I tried most of the pasta dishes. The short rib agniolotti (sp?) very good with these delicious little horseradish crispies on top. The duck foie gras ravioli were also so good (definitely on the rich side). The spaghetti was great too but not my favorite i've ever had. The seafood pasta also was great. Now onto the desserts. You must you must you must order the caramel creme brulee. Amaaaazing. And the nutella little donuts were great too. I am definitely headed soon to the Scarpetta here!
