I am so happy I went to Dr. Schwartz after a TERRIBLE experience with another ENT with my Tinnitus. She takes the practical approach FIRST. Gets to know you and your (bad) habits to see if there is anything in your life you can change that might be causing your problem before expensive testing and medications. And for me, that was the problem. She took my blood pressure which turned out to be high. Why? Because I am a caffeine/salt junkie. After about a week of cutting out caffeine & watching salt, my blood pressure went down and the tinnitus really subsided.
I also appreciate that even though I came in with an ear problem, she still examined my nose and throat as well and gave me some advice about my sinuses.
She has a very direct personality which some people may take the wrong way, but she has EXCELLENT friendly front office staff with cheery happy personalities that balance the doctor's personality.
Note: Not saying my diagnosis will help everyone with tinnitus. I don't go to the doctor, period. If I had been seeing a regular family DR/GP, this probably would have been caught a lot sooner. Which further makes me appreciate Dr. Schwartz that much more, because she took on that role for me, stepping beyond the ENT specialty, to be a doctor.
PS ALSO! The office entrance is around the back of the office complex building if you come in from PECOS. Not easy to find.
