I've never experienced a faster or less expensive haircut. For years I've passed this salon and for years I've seen the, "$10 Men's Haircut" sign in the window. I've always been nervous about getting a haircut there because 1) That is one cheap haircut and 2) I haven't paid for a $10 haircut since I was a teenager.
When I entered the storefront I was greeted by Harry, an older gentleman who has been cutting hair for twenty years. I asked Harry for a cut and he told me I had to wait because of one of his appointments. Read the following carefully:
Five minutes after Harry's appointment arrived Harry was cutting my hair. His appointment had arrived, he cuts the guy's hair, was paid and was cutting my hair.
Five minutes after that my hair cut was done. I paid Harry. Ten minutes later I'm posting this review.
Harry is not a stylist by any means, or if he is he doesn't practice the skill. Harry cuts hair. I now have a very simple haircut that is neat and clean and cost me next to nothing and took next to no time to complete. It should be noted that Harry also offered to add highlights for an extra $30 after I inquired. I was tempted to do just that so that I could see him highlight my hair with one hand and cutting another man's hair with his other.
I could have paid another $6 at Great Clips just down the street but I would have had to wait an hour.
