  • The reason for five stars is because Alamo rent a car met all my expectations. Renting a car every week in a different city for work I have a list of expectations. I expect a fast registration/sign in process with courteous staff and service. I expect to have the classification of car I reserved- in this case I reserved a compact and they were out- told me to pick any midsize I wanted and there would be no extra charge. I expected no hard pressure sales gimmicks about prepaid gas or coverage- these were mentioned during the registration process but we're not pushed. I expected a clean car that ran well and was dependable - I got a Dodge Dart with 9,000 miles. I expected an easy return process with clear directions to the car return. I expected my bill to be what was quoted during the reservation process . Congratulations Alamo- you met my expectations. Renting a car can be a hit or miss ordeal- in this case it was a hit!
