  • Out of the Indian restaurants I've tried in Charlotte (Situl, Passage to India and this) Maharani is my favorite. We came for dinner and enjoyed everything we ordered thoroughly. The atmosphere is definitely the nicest out of those three restaurants, the staff is very friendly and attentive. All dishes tasted perfectly fresh and had plenty of meat, fresh vegetables etc. None of that creamed mush with three chunks of meat. Maharani is slightly more expensive than Situl and Passage to India, but not by much. Veggie dishes start at 12, meat dishes at 15. My favorite so far there is the vegetable Jalfrezi, apparently a house specialty.
