| - While the townhouses are quite nice at first look, their truth will sink in when you really start thinking about everything and looking closely.
For 1,700 square feet and a two car garage, you're going to pay $2,850/month. When I asked decent citizens of Charlotte if that was a ridiculous price, every single one pursed their lips and shot me a confused wtf look.
The community is situated in a grungy, rusty part of town that is slowly being built up, but it won't be a gorgeous in-town version of Ballantyne any time in the next 10 years. Trust me. You're convenient to Bojangle's Coliseum (ha!), a Harris Teeter, a bunch of indie vegan cafes that you'll get sick of in a week and the Briar Creek Greenway (the best part).
So, much like the overpriced VUE, this property doesn't win my approval or praise whatsoever. (VUE was developed by NWR, same as TVAC's)
Also, it's good to note that for $2,850/month you get a rock bottom cheap washer and dryer that is so damn cheap, you can't even buy it at a Home Depot in Boone! I asked if they could remove it during my proposed lease term and the response was a swift and stern, "No!"
Also, the two and three bedroom apartments and townhouses all have the miniature 20 gallon electric water heaters that are intended for one bedroom or single occupant dwellings. Have fun if you have roommates or kids!!!!!!
Anyway, don't get me wrong, the townhouses aren't disgustingly ugly, they're just overpriced by about $500/month. I fully intended on moving in until I declined to move to North Carolina because of HB-2 and thinking long and hard about the price. For $2,850/month, you might as well buy a house!
Also, this place loves to send you spam despite you opting out multiple times!!!
