| - Just purchased a used 2016 Honda Pilot from Earnhardt Chandler Cadillac. I would say the sales process was typical. The first offer was not what I was looking for, so I declined and left the dealership. I was contacted within an hour with a new offer (keep in mind, prior to leaving the dealership the assistant sales manager came over and informed me that there was no way for them to make a better offer). Over the course of several offers throughout the afternoon, we reached an agreement to terms. The reason for the one star does not have anything to do with the sales process, again, I feel like it was pretty typical and I got the terms I was looking for. After completing the transaction, and prior to leaving the dealership, I noticed a small crack in the windshield. This was 100% my fault during the initial inspection, but nevertheless very discouraging given the money I just spent. I immediately went in to speak with the sales associate. He went back to talk to his manager and came back letting me know there was nothing they could do. He explained that it was because it was a used vehicle. I responded that I have purchased many used vehicles in the past and I have never had a dealership refuse to repair the windshield. In fact, I even drove off the lot with a used car purchase before, but they agreed to repair it in the interest of customer service; I ended up purchasing two other vehicles with that dealership based on this gesture). The sales associate then went on to inform me that the manager was not willing to even come out to take a look. He said that whenever they discount the price of the vehicle they really are not interested in doing anything else (I wish I could make that line up). Basically, they were not happy about the price they sold the vehicle to me for, and were not going to do anything additional for me. The icing on the cake was when I got back in my vehicle, I noticed that they filled the gas tank up halfway - I guess a good deal does not come with the customary filling up the gas tank either. An offer to do a $35 windshield crack repair and following standard customary auto sales by filling up the tank would have resulted in a much better review. Will never return (thank goodness I denied all of their extra warranties) and will encourage all of my friends to never do business with them. Its not hard, or expensive, to treat the customer right and they clearly were not interested.
