We brought my daughter here to get help for her drug addiction. The nurse on duty was so unkind to her. We asked if they could help get her into a rehab facility as banner thunderbird can do this as well as Arrowhead hospital can too. The nurse told us there was nothing they could do for her and they needed the bed for people that are sick with real sicknesses. The nurse said that my daughter needed to leave. My daughter was hooked up to an iv. We sat waiting for over a half over for the nurse to come back and take the iv out. We pressed the nurse call button, as we waited for another half hour for her to come back and take her iv out. A nurse came in and turned the button off and left the room. In the meantime we called arrowhead hospital and they told us to bring my daughter there as they would admit her and get her the care she needs in a facility that could help her. This is the craziest experience I've ever had in a hospital. I've never seen such disrespect to a human being in a professional center.
My daughter had a baby which we have custody of for the time being. The nurse told me that she adopted her grandkids, had the same situation as I did. The nurse said her daughter was now in prison. The nurse told My daughter that she needs to get it together that I can't do it for her. The nurse told me not to be selfish let our grandson go to an adoptive couple so he has a mom and dad.. She told me to let dcs take our grandson and place him in foster and so when our daughter and her ex boyfriends have their rights severed the foster person could adopt them and be his parents. The nurse really emphasized that I really needed to stop being selfish and by taking our grandson in. The nurse said she regretted fighting for her daughters kids. The nurse was terrible to my daughter, just plain mean. She told my daughter she needed to get up and leave the hospital because the hospital was for people who are really sick.
This was a truly traumatic event for us in the heartbreak of what we already go through with an addicted family member. Absolutely no compassion shown, not even treated as a human being.
