At first this seemed like a great idea. I needed an outlet of some sort and the location was great. I quickly became an "unlimited" member and paid the $160 a month for a membership. Note: if you cancel a class within 6 or 8 hours, you STILL have to pay a $15 cancellation fee, which I understand but I think is ridiculous. It was suggested attending class around three times a week which I did for about 5 months. Unfortunately I never saw a dramatic change in my body, which didn't really bother me. What bothered me was the front desk service, or lack-thereof. When I walked in for class there were always at least three people behind the desk and they would all stare at me blankly. Not "Hi! Welcome! Remind me of your last name?" nothing. I would walk up and awkwardly give them my name, not sure if I was supposed to check in or anything. I also kind of expected with a "boutique" style of fitness studio that the front desk would start to learn my name and there would be a little more sense of community. Maybe I expect too much.
The instructors for the most part were friendly, but never really corrected anyone's form while doing the strength portion of the workout. Although every instructor had credentials to be teaching the class, they literally just stand there and basically yell out instructions and don't offer much of any modifications or help when people are CLEARLY using bad form or confused about a movement or lift.
For being a "small business" I never really felt that the franchise owner or staff cared that much and I am glad to finally be done paying the exorbitant amount of money it cost to go there.
