  • I usually like Giant Eagle - I usually visit the stores on 117th and on Center Ridge which have a great selection and are clean. After a day shopping at Crocker Park I wanted to pick up some groceries for a BBQ with friends from out of town visiting us for the first time. I have to say I was slightly embarrassed to have them see the store. It was dirty with a weird smell. Like something was going bad. I cannot put my finger on it but it was not a smell that belongs inside a store. The vegetables looked absolutely pitiful - wilted and mushy and the selection was not too large. One person in our group being a vegetarian that actually did pose a "first world problem". Then we hunted for sparking water which we never found - at least it was not in the water isle. This is not your flagship Giant Eagle for sure.
