  • My wife was sent to this doc by her OB/GYN, because she was having severe stomach pains and (sorry about the T.M.I.) bleeding in her stools. During her first visit, he found absolutely nothing, and had a horrible bedside manner. After going back to her OB/GYN, he found several lumps, and remarked how in the [heck] this guy could have missed them. He convinced her after resistance to go back to him for another visit, and made the appointment. Then her work called her out of town suddenly, and she called to reschedule. Well, as we all know, you can wait hours in a waiting room, but G-d forbid you try to reschedule a doctor's appointment.!! She was told there would be a $25 charge for missing the appointment (even though she called on a friday and the appt was on monday - you need to cancel 72 hours ahead of time) I got a call today from the horrendous office manager for Doc Sand, who informed me they're still owed $25 and they don't bill for "those services." (gee...not billing for corrupt charges....how shocking) Anyway, I told her we had no intention of paying since her work called her out of town suddenly, and she replied "Oh, then I'll go ahead and forward this right to the collection agency, so they can get it on your credit report right away." Nice. Real nice way with people you have there. I said thanks for your concern and hung up. My wife called back, and asked if her mother died suddenly, they would still charge us this fee? Ms. Friendly replied, "Of course. The reason has nothing to do with it." Are you freaking kidding me??? And this bit....er.....person actually had the nerve to ask her when she wanted to reschedule!!!!!!!! Seriously??? What a crack staff they have there at Desert Ridge Gastro & Liver Disease. Can't find lumps in your body, but they can sure as hell find your credit report easy enough. Please do not visit this quack and his SS office manager. Ever.
