Boba 101: Make sure your boba is fresh, soft, and chewy!
Popped in after a looong Saturday. I really didn't want to stop by but this other boba place isn't open yet and the driver was calling the shots. We were gonna try this place out despite me whining about how Karen W. didn't like this place which means I won't like it either. Bias? Of course! Karen is a gem and you best heed her advice! ;)
So we got the Sea Salt Green Tea with boba and a Milk Tea 101 with pudding. I must say that unlike Karen's experience, my green tea wasn't bitter. It was however confusing. My drink looked different than Karen's and I can't find any other Yelp pictures of the same drink so I can't validate this as a norm but my drink had these weird white things in it. I thought at first that maybe it was like how Boba Tea Company adds weird chunky stuff for texture but it wasn't crunchy. So maybe the sea salt crema curdled? I'm not sure but it kinda irked me. The boba itself is insanely soft... like to the point where it can dissolve in your mouth without chewing. Uh, what? As for the Milk Tea 101 [or is it 101 Milk Tea? I forget], it was okay. Easily overlooked and forgettable.
We were not fans. I didn't even grab a stamp card. $8-something for two drinks. With all these new places in the valley, why settle for "Meh?" I will say I like the angel wings mural and their overuse of the LINE bear mascot.
