This can be the Candyland for make up enthusiasts. The store is very well lighted and displays of makeup by brand line the store. There is a good assortment of brands ranging from your popular drug store brand like Maybelline to Urban Decay. If you know makeup, you would know that there are hits and misses from $10 brands to $100 brands. It's a mix and match industry, so don't be quick to judge on household names.
The workers there, especially the make up artists, are super helpful and are very knowledgeable. There are two guys that work there and are both are professional and engaging. One of them gave me a quick makeover when I was looking for a full coverage powder foundation and I loved it. He also gave me very helpful techniques on eyeshadow application and which brushes to use to achieve the look. No high pressure selling or uptight attitudes here-just honest, experience based advice, and pretty make up to try on! There is also a selection of perfumes from Gucci to Philosophy. Prices are comparable to department stores though. In the back of the store is skin care product from (my favorite) Dermalogica to Neutrogena.
At the end, I purchased the new powder foundation I was looking for along with several new brushes to recreate the look at home. Be sure to sign up for their loyalty card as purchases can add up fast. If you're not sure on a new product, be sure to ask for help from one of the beauty consultants. How you feel about yourself is the biggest beauty advisor though, so keep that in mind if you don't like something and have fun trying on new looks!
