  • We are barbecue lovers but only eat it occasionally out of respect for healthy choices. The reviews on this restaurant looked inspiring, so with no other recommendations than Yelp and on a whim, here we come! It was very crowded, which is always a good sign, we check in and are told it is a 15-30 min wait. Not bad for a weekend in Charlotte. We are asked for a phone number so they can text when our table is ready. We wait, and we wait, and we wait. Parties come and are seated and after a reasonable time, we approach the hostess... OH she says, somehow the communication with our phone number didn't work but we can be seated immediately! In honor of the World Series, Strike One! Server eventually gets to us, we communicate the mixup about being seated and how ravenous we are, and order everything (drinks and food) immediately. She put a rush on it - it all comes out within 5 minutes. That's a Double Hit! Barbecue flavor is good, I will return, but probably to a different location in Charlotte -- Single Hit. Cost of the meal -- here's the problem ..... Its a crying shame when a restaurant feels like their food is SO good they can charge OUTRAGEOUS prices, seat you at a table when you needle them to, impress you with how quickly they can serve you, and NEVER attempt to make it up to you any other way. Friends, that is an OUT! Hence, two stars and I may return --- one day.
