I've bought guns and accessories from here way before they expanded (2002/2003?). The employees were always nice and helpful. I've also completed my CCW renewal here.
Today I took a Glock 26 in to sell and had the oddest experience. I asked if they purchased firearms and I was told, "YES". I said "OK, I have one to sell". I was then directed to someone that proceeded to tell me that they really don't have the funds right now to buy guns and offered me $150 for a Glock 26. Even the employee standing right behind him laughed at that offer. (I was expecting $250) Another employee chimed in and said that I would be better off using a site called BACKPAGE. At this point I am totally confused. I walked in to a GUN STORE to SELL a GUN. If I wanted to sell it on a website, I would have stayed home. I tried to explain that I wasn't comfortable selling to an individual and I would rather sell to a dealer, the person dismissed my concern and said it doesn't matter anymore.
Once I got home I went to the website their employee suggested, it seems to be a website that specializes in prostitution and illegal gun sales.
I'm not sure what to think about this experience. I think the management needs to review polices with their employees. Why would you send a customer to a website like that to sell a firearm ? A quick google search shows that it is a site that promotes illegal activities.
