  • Stayed here back in July for my birthday weekend. We booked about 3-4 months in advance and couldn't beat the price. Yeah the stratosphere is an older hotel and north of the strip, but why pay out the ass for a room if you're almost never in it? When we checked in, our room had been given away to someone else so we were upgraded to a "suite" on the 24th floor in the newer building. The room was pretty small for a suite but it was clean and we had a view of the tower and could see people doing the sky jump. Our bathroom had a hot tub which was sweet however the lighting was very poor in the bathroom. There was one fluorescent bar above the mirror. We did get to use the hot tub which was nice and relaxing. Hotel guests get free access to the tower and observatory deck. Also you get coupons for deals on drinks and rides. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to ride the rides since we were out and about. I played a little downstairs and won money on the OITNB machine which was a nice bday present. We signed up for a player card and you get a free swipe to win free play and other prizes including a voucher for 25% off the buffet. We went for lunch and Sunday brunch. It was ok, nothing fancy. The eggs benedict was a bit disappointing. The muffins were rock hard and difficult to cut. My parents had gone earlier that morning and we were told there was bagels and lox. When we got there, someone had already put them away. My boyfriend asked someone behind the counter if there was still bagels and lox. The lady glared at us, turned around and pulled the salmon and bagels out, plopped the tray down and walked away like we ruined her entire day lol. Whatever. We checked out Radius which is their adults only rooftop pool/lounge on the 24th floor. We were on the same floor so it was convienient. It's a small area and you have to pay to use their bigger sized pool chairs/beds/whatever they're called. Lame. It wasn't crowded when we went and the DJ was playing all the popular club hits. The pool water was ice cold but you get a few drinks in you and it feels nice lol. We picked the Stratosphere because the rooms were cheap and it's close to Fremont street. I personally enjoyed gambling in old vegas as did my boyfriend. I'd recommend staying here if you're looking on the cheap side. Overall, our stay was decent and satisfying.
