  • This referral service is pretty much worthless. It appears to be a site for advertisers who are not researched or vetted. So, I received an email from ToFixIt along with 4 ads/listings with coupons on 2/27/2015. One of the companies was for glass and mirror replacement. I called the company (True View Windows in Phoenix) and asked for a quote to remove a vanity mirror in a bathroom - 4' x 8' from the wall. This is a job which takes between 30 - 60 minutes by a professional. The telephone quote I receive was $395.00. I told the receptionist I thought that was very high and that I would like to speak with the owner. I was told the owner was out of town and couldn't be reached. Then I asked to speak with a Supervisor--of course none was available and I asked for a return phone call--one week later--still no response. Of course, any company can charge what they want but every company should at the very least return phone calls they commit to make and this includes the folks at ToFixIt. Then I called the Phoenix Office of ToFixIt and spoke with Debbie. I asked to speak to the person in charge of complaints about people who they list on ToFixIt. I was told the person had left for the day. I never heard back from ToFixIt so I called Debbie again this morning--one week later--and pretty much got nowhere. In comparison to AngiesList, ToFixIt has a long way to go. The local ads for this referral service now make me laugh as they have no credibility. I'll stick with Angie's List in the future. Like "Steve B" on 1/19/2014 I gave them one star because there is nothing lower.
