| - You can always tell when a business stacks the reviews, you're not fooling anyone. You basically addressed my complaints in your positive review and in the process you are discrediting yourself and doing more damage to Ottway. And when someone only has one review in over a year, its because the review is a favor. So obvious, I have to reduce my rating down to one star from two. If this is the best they can do after all these years in business they are doing something wrong. You can't have reviews if you don't have customers and I personally wont bother going back for sure. This was a place I use to shop from time to time but most likely I will take it off my list. I called for a price on some Allimax garlic caps and they refused to give me the price over the phone. I can only assume this is because they are higher priced than most other stores and they feel if they make you come down, you will buy them regardless. I've purchased small packs here prior, I just wanted to confirm they had the large size and the price before I head down, these supplements can be expensive. Personally I don't care about a few dollars one way or the other, I don't shop price, I shop service. I just don't like to be treated with disrespect. It doesn't work that way for me. I am the customer and it is their privilege to serve me, not mine to shop there. I will order them online, get free delivery and not bother with Ottway anymore given the lack of personal service and respect. I use to buy my vitamin D easy to absorb drops six times a year. They lost me as a customer on that order too. Good luck with your no service policy.
Update: I found what I want, Allimax Garlic at Healthy Planet on Danforth, only $75 for 180 caps, only two bottles left (they have high turnover so freshness is not an issue). Not only did they tell me the price over the phone, they are holding them for me at that cash. I will go now and pick up the two bottles. I don't know if this price is higher or lower than ottway, I just know the service and respect was beyond what Ottway offered.
Update: Picked them up at Healthy Planet, they were holding them for me as promised. I don't know if I paid more or less than Ottway, I suspect less. Price was never the issue. As for Ottway, I guess as they slowly sink, they will continue with their policy of "Ottway first customer last".
