  • We had AZ Foundation Solutions install their fan system almost a year and a half ago. When it was installed, we were very excited. We were told that the foundation would be ready for us to install new flooring in approximately a year. It's managed to move about 20% of the distance it needs to. That aside, once you've had the work done, it's almost impossible to communicate with anyone there. They say they will come out and check your progress at six months. We finally called them at 13 months and got no less than three different excuses as to why they hadn't been out. The first was that it was never scheduled. The second was that it was but one employees' schedule was mysteriously deleted for a few days, and the third was that our problem was so bad they decided to wait a year before checking up on us. I should note that, when selling us on the fan system, our sales rep. told us multiple times that our foundation wasn't nearly as bad as many he had seen. After we contacted them, it took another few weeks and another phone call to schedule the check-up. It then took well over a month and yet another phone call to get the updated engineering report. The engineering report said that everything was proceeded as expected. So, either our sales rep. grossly misstated the amount of time it would take, or the engineer was trying to spin unimpressive numbers. Which is true? We wouldn't know. The engineering report we received well over a month ago said that our rep. would contact us to review it. He hasn't, and I'm about done trying to chase down a company who has little interest in maintaining communication with their clients. To be fair, I should have known this would be a problem before the work was done. It took far longer to get the original engineering report back than had been stated and that was after calling multiple times once the estimated return date had passed. However, if we hadn't gone with AFS, we still would have had to pay for the report. I totally fell for their assertions that we wouldn't get an engineering report from other companies and the risk seemed to outweigh paying for another company to asses our foundation. Lesson learned; if a company is constantly trying to convince you that they aren't pulling the wool over your eyes, they probably are.
