Employees here were very condescending to me after accidentally breaking my expensive glasses that I'd previously purchased from them. The woman who broke them genuinely felt bad, and I felt bad for her as well at first! She obviously didn't do it on purpose and I was totally understanding until she told me she couldn't do anything about it as the glasses were out of warranty (they were about 2 years old or less, and I've had glasses half the price of those ones last 3 times as long). She said I could tape them back together with scotch tape and deal with it for the moment or wear my contacts (which I don't have because I can't wear them), and that I should purchase new glasses from them at full price to replace the broken ones. She insisted that they had snapped because I had worn them down to nothing and eroded them somehow. The glasses must have been terrible quality in that case, as I hasn't had them for an extremely long time and had treated them with care. They didn't look thin or in poor condition. When I said that this was unacceptable because I didn't break them myself and insisted they be replaced, they pointed me to a discount shelf with a couple dozen pairs on it - I found a not so attractive pair that was much cheaper, lower quality and less flattering than the pair I'd previously purchased. It was super awkward the whole time as I got the sense they were really annoyed and wanted me out ASAP. I received an ice cold reception when I was called to be told they were ready, and especially when I came to pick them up. I went to get new glasses elsewhere shortly after and got 2 cute pairs for the price I paid for 1 at Optiko (same prescription and lens quality), and much friendlier service and better selection. I wouldn't recommend getting frames here when there are plenty of other places to go where you get more for your money, product and service-wise.
