| - This is by far the superior stationary cycle studio in town!
They thought of everything to make this a pleasant experience for you; from the breezy check-in process where all you have to do is click a button on the iPad, grab your shoes from the cubbie right below (which are already picked out for you in your size), fill your water bottle from their chilled electrolyte-infused water fountain, put away your belongings in their free, secure lockers, and enter in the dimmed studio where the temperature is set a cool 10 degrees lower than the rest of the area.
The bikes are spaced apart to allow everyone to be comfortable so you don't end up elbowing your neighbors.
What really sets Cycle Bar apart from the competition is the digital element they incorporate into their classes.
Your bikes are equipped with these digital monitor screens that tells you your power and speed. This is a nice feature that let's you know exactly how much effort you should put in based on the instructors' suggestions and stayed in tuned with your own cadence.
There are two large TV screens on the walls which acts as the leaderboard so you can see your stats compared to the rest of the class. Depending on who you have as an instructor, you can also use the screen to play games where you compete battle of the sexes style, or race each other.
At the end, a smiling staff member is waiting for you with a tray of ice cold towel to help you cool off.
I've been very happy with every instructor that I've had and the playlists vary widely, so you are unlikely to get sick of listening to the same music during class.
I was very impressed with how well they staffed the studio during their free trial weeks. The staff all seem very knowledgeable about what they offer.
A monthly membership will set you back $149, but if you live in the area and think you will go at least 5 times per month, it's totally worth it.
