I really wanted to like this place but, after consistently receiving horrible customer service and not so fresh food I won't be returning. Upon the first time I purchased food, they served me very dry and crunchy rice. I chalked it up to being early in the morning and possibly being yesterday's rice. The second time I ordered from them online, they did not have an item that is listed on their yelp page and said they couldn't issue a refund but, would comp me a substitute. I obliged and allowed for the substitute. My third order from them was a small bowl and boy was it small. It was half the size of the medium and had very little food in it. The fish wasn't as fresh and was warm/room temp. It felt like they left the bowl outside of refrigeration for quite some time. The fish was also quite fishy.
My biggest issue was with my last order and the manner in which the stand-in manager handled my last order and issues with it. There were only six small pieces of fish in my bowl and I called to complain. I also did not select some things that were in my bowl but, due to a possible computer glitch they were added. When I called the store, J answered and told me that I would have to call Grub Hub because it "wasn't Poke Poku's responsibility to resolve issues with faulty orders". I asked for his manager's name and he quickly shifted his position from stand-in manager to manager and then store manager. Because I was getting nowhere with J, I asked for the owner's contact information and J said "I can't give you his personal phone number because there have been too many complaints about orders and it would be just too many calls, ya know?". I called Grub Hub and told them about the issues and they resolved the issues. Grub Hub should not be responsible for issues that pertain solely to the preparation of food at Poke Poku. Shame on you Poke Poku for not handling your issues and blaming others. It speaks volumes about your integrity, management and the owner.
