| - Worst car buying experience ever. Last night I waited in their lobby for 3 hours for them to put together financing, I had applied for before even going there. As I sat there waiting for them to secure financing, I actually found my own. In frustration and hunger, I walked out, but finance guy stopped me and finally told me what the hold up was. Very simple fix, joint application. After all hubby and I are married! We just were trying to boost his credit and have him apply alone. After I told finance guy I found my own, he told me the deal on car. I pulled up price they had on internet and explained to the sales guy I would buy the car if they honored the internet price. At that point I asked him to call me the next day if he could put the deal together.
So today he called, still had car priced $500 over their internet price. In my business, we have to file a federal compliance complaint that someone felt there was bait and switch. He also told me the interest rate from the bank which was considerably higher than I felt I should pay. After all, I am in the underwriting business, so why would I know about fair interest rates? So... I called around and secured financing using the VIN from their website. When I called back to tell the finance guy about new financing, he told me couldn't be done on that car. So I called back the credit union who told me to sign paperwork at dealer, then bring it to them the next day to refinance the loan. Seemed like a lot of work... but still was willing to do it. Specificallytold finance guy I would be there at 7.
When I got there at 7, was asked to take a seat and someone would be right with me. So I sat. After a half hour if sitting and being ignored, I went online and found a new car with less miles for comparable price. After 45 minutes of waiting, I called neighboring dealership to see if it was still there. After an hour waiting, I gave up and left and went to neighboring dealer to test drive. While test driving (hubby was driving) these idiots called and asked when I was coming in.... ummmmm...... never! Because I bought car which was newer, less miles, and because they got me the interest rate I deserved car payment will just be $10 more. Moral of the story, treat business women with respect, especially respecting their time. We have options and we opted not to use you.
