Below average, overpriced, unwelcoming.
I have been meaning to try this place since it opened. My boyfriend is from North Carolina and loves BBQ so I've been trying to find him a place in Pittsburgh he might enjoy. We got takeout - brisket sandwich, 1/4 fried chicken, meaty Mac, and coleslaw. We found everything to be underwhelming. The brisket was average- it was tender but I've had better. The fried chicken was salty. The meaty Mac would have been better without the blue cheese. I ate it by picking out meat chunks and the crispy cheese on top. The coleslaw was good, and by far our favorite part of the meal. That should say enough.
Price was $35 for all of the above.
As far as service, the waitress seemed uninterested in us. There were only three other guests in the downstairs of the restaurant.
