  • I don't even know where to begin as this was by far one of the WORST customer experiences I have ever had with any company in any industry ever. The only reason I'm giving one star is because you have to in order write a review. I experienced much of the same problems the reviewer from 9/25/2013. Unfortunately I didn't look at Yelp before attempting to work with Thomas. Crazy to think these problems existed over 4.5 years ago and this guy is still in business. The customer service experience...well it doesn't exist with Thomas. I needed 10 shirts made for my softball team with a very basic design. The design was given to me in an .ai file format and file included the main logo of our sponsor with some words written underneath it. For the front of the shirt, all we wanted was the logo and not the words written underneath. Unfortunately I don't have access to Adobe Illustrator to alter the file so I asked Thomas if he could help us out. He said to me back in an e-mail that he would not help us and we had to send the image to him exactly as we wanted it. I have used Adobe Illustrator in the past and I know how easy it is to make the alteration we requested. I even mentioned to him that it takes not even 2 minutes to make this alteration by using the direct select tool around the words and press DELETE! That's all it would take and he couldn't trouble himself to do this. Not to mention, I requested a mock-up design of what the final product would look like. He told me in an e-mail and I quote, "I do not make mock up art as it is time consuming and expensive..." I'm sorry...but how am I supposed to know what the final product will look like? I don't have the design capabilities to be able to do the artwork so that it fits the exact specs of your screen printing process. What if your font size for the lettering on the back with the names and numbers was too small? Or what if the colors chosen were incorrect?? In this industry, with today's technology, I have never heard of someone not providing a customer a digital mock-up before printing. Please explain to me how doing a mock-up design is expensive and time consuming... This is your job! That should be a huge part of your business within this industry. What this tells me is that he flat out doesn't care to be bothered to do his job and provide any level of customer service. In addition, I tried to call him multiple times with no answer and left voicemails. I also e-mailed him because of his lack of response and it seems that e-mail is the only form of communication he was willing to participate in. Phone conversations are really better in many situations, especially regarding customer service because sometimes the message doesn't always come through as clearly in e-mail. Meaning his written communication skills are not the best. My final gripe with this Thomas Screen Printing is that he had the audacity to tell me that if we wanted an additional shirt after the original order had been completed he was going to charge DOUBLE the original price per shirt. I am flat out shocked he found it acceptable to charge $60 per shirt!!! There is absolutely zero way any, and I mean ANY, basic screen print cotton t-shirt is worth $60. I understand it takes additional time to reset the screen print and time is money, etc... but no shirt is worth that cost, it just isn't. To me it screams run away and don't use my business. I suppose it's possible that when he explained this in an e-mail something got lost in translation, but again I refer back to his poor written communication skills. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere. Please do not waste your time going to Thomas Screen Printing because you will be made to feel like you are wasting his time and that you're bothering him with SIMPLE requests that any other competitor in the industry will provide.
