I'm so frustrated with this place. I called to cancel my membership and was told I have a past due balance due to my bank issuing a new card which caused my card on file to decline. I was told I could not cancel my membership until I paid my past due balance, which I have no problem with. What I do have a problem with is the $25 charge I got for my card declining. I politely asked if that could please be waived so I can pay my balance and cancel my account. I explained that my bank canceled my card without notice due the Home Depot breach which caused my card on file to decline. She told me the only way the would remove that charge is if I had my bank write them a letter explaining why the issued me a new card. Seriously?? I have been a member there for 8 years and that's the thanks I get? I even have a $200 credit for personal training that they won't even let me use to cover the balance. I will be happy to be done with this place because EOS Fitness has a horrible reputation. They are handling the transition from Golds to EOS very poorly.
