| - This drive-in theatre was closed in 1996, but was brought back to life in 2007. And according to www.cinematreasures.org , it's on an old stretch of the original Lincoln Highway, formerly designated as U.S. 22/U.S. 30, hence the name Twin-Hi Ways Drive-In.
My friends and I came out here the other night for a girls' night out at the movies. We'd never been here before, but a few of us are drive-in veterans. We took my friend Marla's pickup truck, backed it into the stall, and created our own version of stadium seating in the flatbed using bricks and a sheet of plywood.
Anyway, the moviegoing experience here is quite good. We had no problems with the picture quality or sound (we tuned in a radio to their frequency). They have a few strict rules here, namely no outside food or beverages (boo, hiss) and like all-drive-ins, SUVs, vans, and trucks have to park near the back. But still, a night at the drive-in is fun. And in this day and age when a lot of drive-ins have closed because of rising land values, it's amazing that one was brought back from the dead.
