I've been a handful of times over the past 4-5 years, living only a few blocks away. La Casa sorta is hidden away at the end of the Ellsworth buisness strip, so its never super busy and I've never had to wait for a table. It has a very cute little patio out back which is perfect for the summer. As for the food, I have never been disappointed and in fact, always pleasantly surprised.
My one recommendation is to get the waiter/waitress' opinion of what their favorites are. They have never steered me wrong.
My favorite menu item is the duo de ceviche - salmon and tuna tartare. Their crab stuffed mushrooms are also delish. I've had a handful of wonderful 'specials'. I do not know the correct names for them, but I've thoroughly enjoyed the fried shrimp served with a raspberry sauce and pork tenderloin with a mustard sauce.
Their sangria, both red and white, are refreshing and delicious!
I highly recommend this place, and I will definitely be going back again and again!
