  • Bachi Burger, thanks for being vegetarian friendly! I really enjoyed my meal here last night with friends. They had two menus available for us to chose from: Bachi Burger and Shoku Ramen. I'm assuming that the Shoku Ramen place (next door) shared the same owners as Bachi Burger, which is why they had two different menus. ATMOSPHERE Darkened lighting created an intimate atmosphere for friends and couples. Wood paneled walls and skylights made the space feel laid-back and upscale. I was definitely comfortable! It was busy and the tables are spaced far apart from each other so that you have lots of space to have private conversations and can talk loudly without bothering others. FOOD Alcohol, Japanese appetizers & Ramen offered from next door's kitchen, and Asian-fusion fries and burgers were on the menu. They have a great selection and there are many choices of burgers for all types of appetites. Because I am a vegetarian who eats seafood, there were options from both menus for me! I also liked that they have the option of add-ins and an ample selection of sauces to accompany the yummy fries. Now onto mine and my boyfriend's selections: 1. TAKOYAKI (FRIED OCTOPUS BALLS) $8.00 Delicious! I love that their takoyaki had 6 bites containing lots of flavor, and generous toppings (bonito flakes, ginger, mayo, takoyaki sauce, etc). Could have been crispier on the outside, but the inside was cooked and had a good bite-sized amount of octopus (tako). 2. NO MEAT HERE BURGER (WITH ADDED SWISS CHEESE) $11.50 Had fried eggplant, shiitake mushroom patty, tomatoes, onions, a perfect soft bun and mixed greens. I think it had some sauce in there as well, and combined with the swiss cheese... You think being vegetarian is a curse? No. This burger is a blessing. If I wasn't vegetarian, I would've have tried it. So THANKS BACHI FOR MAKING ME NOT REGRET MY DECISIONS! Arigato gozaimasu! 3. VEGETARIAN MISO RAMEN (WITH ADDED BOK CHOY) $11.50 Good ramen, good (on the sweet-side) miso flavor. I don't know what their regular ramen broth tastes like, but I'm sure it's equally as good. It is missing a bit of a wow-factor though. But points for having vegetarian choices. SERVICE Very understanding and patient server. My friend is one of those people that asks you lots of questions and takes awhile to order. Our guy server (with curly hair I think?) was patient, and explained everything perfectly. He even brought us our somewhat difficult water order, as we all wanted it "hot", "iced' and "room temperature". I know, the customers we all dislike. But hey, we were accommodated with a smile, so brownie points for putting up with us! Also, more tip for you, sir! Overall, good night. A little pricey for burgers, but they are well executed and delicious so no complaints here. Will be back
