  • If I could give this office 0 stars I would. They do not even deserve the one star that yelp forces you give to write a review. I went to Dr Piccot for an invisalign consultation in August/September. He barely looked at my teeth, had me smile a couple times and told me it would be $5200 for everything. He wouldn't do any type of payment plan and wanted the money upfront. So I had to leave and save some money. A couple months later I found a dental plan that takes 20% off your braces treatments as an adult. I called to ask if they accept the plan and the girl that answered said yes. So I hung up the phone and then purchased the plan for $150 called back to give her my number than she says oh we actually do not accept that I am sorry. So after going back and forth she put me on hold and then came back and told me she will give me the 20% off anyway because it was her fault. So I agreed, she then told me my total was $4900. Again $4900 is not 20% off $5200. She then told me it was never $5200 that it was $5500 plus the retainer fee when I was told that was all included in my first consultation. But then since I was getting a discount they upped the overall price anyway. But at this point I just wanted to get off the phone so I said fine and booked my appointment for 2 months later so I could save the rest of money I needed since they don't do payment plans. Last week I went in for my appointment to get my moldings, and then the doctor told me I am not getting 20% off because my case is so severe and that my price is $5500 and he can not do it for $4900 and I had to pay that today. Um, no I was told $4900 and that is all I had. Then they tried to tell me that he is giving me the consultation free and that is why I can't get a discount. Consultations are always free! First off my case is not severe, I had braces as an adult a few years ago and never wore my retainer and a couple teeth shifted that I wanted fixed. I went to several other dentists and Dr Piccot is the only one that said my case is severe! The only reason I continued to pursue Southend Dentistry is because they have Saturday hours which is convenient to those that have full time jobs during the week. And if my case was so severe don't you think he would have noticed that before I was ever offered the 20% off in the first place? Anyway, I left after I was told he will not do it for the amount I was told and saved up for months for. 10 minutes after leaving the office, Dr Piccot called and that just topped me off. He told me he would take the $4900 today but he wouldn't be able to finish the job and my teeth would not be perfect unless I paid the remaining $600. That right there shows that Dr Piccot cares more about your money than he does is work. And because of that I wouldn't even trust him with a simple routine cleaning let alone something as extensive as braces.
