  • First of all I highly recommend that you call the Autozone that is right next door to this Big O and compare the price for parts between the two, you will be surprised at the price difference it's usually about double and big o will try to fix things that don't really need fixing. I went to Big O Tires today because my coolant was leaking. They told me it was going to cost around $700 for parts and 2 hours of labor. They quoted me for a remanufactured water pump at $129 or a brand new one for $200 and an two belts that they recommended I get changed for $45 apiece. I called another shop and they quoted me $90 for a brand new water pump from autozone and labor $125. When I told this to the serviceman, Charlie, he said I understand you trying to shop around but my guys are certified and not tweeters or druggies. Not to say that's who they are but for that price that probably what you're getting an for me to make sure I get a receipt for the "brand new" pump. It's a shame what this place get away with. By this was the general manager that talked to me this way. I'm pretty sure that he was trying to take advantage of me because I am a female and felt pretty dumb when I told him how much a water pump for my Cadillac CTS 2004 3.6 L engine. And you can look it up if you don't believe me. So good luck getting a good deal if you go to this place theyre just looking to make their quota and commission sales for the month
