  • It's quite a shame to give a W such a low rating, because normally I absolutely love going to the W Hotel lounges/bars for drinks but this particular location, not so much unfortunately. Went here while staying in Montreal, with a few friends to get drinks (or at least attempt to) one night at the bar. I will say, as all Ws tend to be, the place was decorate immaculately and the women's bathroom has some pretty cool sinks... but that being said- we were there to order drinks We stood at the bar for what seemed like forever. First we were told that we were at the "wrong end of the bar" and that if we wanted to order drinks we'd have to go to the other end. .... Ok. We obliged and stood there again for 15 minutes + waiting for someone to serve us. Mind you- there was a good crowd that night, but everyone around us save maybe 1 or two other people had their drinks already and we were the only ones waiting to order. The bartenders seemed to be preoccupied with random trivial busy work behind the bar rather than actually doing their job and serving. After trying to get their attention and continuing to be snubbed, we gave up and went to Houston's next door where we had excellent service and a very charming bartender. what a waste.
