| - I am sorry about the previous two bad experience, because I cannot say good enough things about this gym. I know this is not the cheapest gym and I have other options, but I personally choose to stay at this gym. The gym emphasizes on personal training so much that they would give you two free sessions when you sign up for a membership with them. Then during the course of your membership, there will be people calling you asking if you would like two more free sessions as part of their nutrition program promotion. I ended up joining the personal training program for good. Believe me. It helps. No matter how good you think you are at motivating yourself, having a trainer is always better. You're bound to be corrected on forms on exercises you've always thought you have done right. Most people without trainers do exercises wrong without knowing, and this is coming from my personal trainer.
The best part is that my personal trainer would give me a free session here and there. He did not charge me for my first week training with him and the last week (so four sessions there) just because he was a nice guy, and whenever he had to cancel on me the night before, he would give me a free session to make up for it. I cannot count the number of free sessions I've gotten.
You might think that only a desperate trainer would give so many free sessions, but nope, he's one of the most reputable trainers in Edgemont Club. He is really tough on you and make you work out like you never have before, and he is picky about form and would never let you go uncorrected.
The only criticism I have of the gym (which really isn't directly related to the gym) was that I got treated badly by the restaurant owner (the tenant of the gym) and his daughter, and I asked the gym's general manager to help me, as there was nobody else to complain to. He was sympathetic but was also sticking up for the restaurant owner and his daughter. I could use more support there, but like I said, this is not directly related to the gym but just the tenant.
