| - So, this place left me feeling very conflicted in how I felt about it overall. Everything was actually fantastic until it came time to pay. We got the massage and hot stone option that was $40 per person. Totally worth that and they were very accommodating and really good at what they do. So, time to pay, I want to pay with my debit card and give cash for the tip. So, I go to hand each of the person's who did mine and my husband's massages their tip of $8 each (20% of the total for each). They looked at me and the cash in their hands like I had just given them pennies. Then, low and behold, a sign framed piece of regular copy paper) on the wall is pointed to by two of the 5 people now standing there (all employees). I should have taken a picture, but I was so flabbergasted, I didn't think of it at the time. It basically has denominations with faces next to each. $5 tip had a frown face, $10 had a neutral face and $15 had a smiley face. So, here I am standing here having given them 20% tips in cash, to know being basically told that the tip wasn't good enough and everyone just stood there. To say it was awkward is an understatement. Somehow the communication was effective enough for me to take my cash back and then put the $80 for both massages and another $30 for tip all on my debit. I didn't have enough cash for tip and massages with their tip "charge." I felt really taken advantage of and, in the end, paid $110 for 2 massages given to us by people who weren't truly massage therapists. If I wanted high dollar massages for that price, I would have gone to an actual licensed massage person place (I'm assuming they aren't licenced since no pictures identifying them as such were in view anywhere) and gotten a true professional to do their work. Like I mentioned before, the massages were pretty good, but I left uptight after what transpired at the end of such a great hour of relaxation. I was embarrassed and felt bullied. I will not be going back nor will I give any of my clients or passengers (I drive for a rideshare company) this place as a recommendation. That type of business practice isn't what I will support. I just don't understand that. And that's too bad because I would have gone back for a massage again had that not happened. Oh well. There are so many other places to go in that area. I'm a great tipper, but I refuse to be bullied into giving what they think is what I should give. Nope. 2 stars only because we enjoyed the massage.
