  • Very enjoyable 90 minute narrated cruise along the lake. It was so relaxing, boat was very comfortable, everyone was very friendly. There is a nice gift shop on another boat docked next to it at the marina....very affordable compared to the usual gift shops for tourists. The drive out is very nice from Phoenix, very easy to find. Over the years we've taken both Canyon Lake & Saguaro Lake cruises - they cost about the same. We've found you see more wildlife on Canyon Lake, nothing but turkey vultures on this one. The captain mentioned spots along the lake he's seen wildlife, but did not point them out because he said they were inactive. Canyon Lake appears smaller & they play more music, higher canyon walls...Saguaro Lake has a much bigger open feel - both have a restaurant, very similar set ups. I'd say the biggest difference is the big open lake (Saguaro) or the small high rock walled type lake (Canyon), otherwise, both have the same to offer, just more potential for wildlife spottings at Canyon.
