  • The movers who packed up my things were nice and very friendly - Mike and another guy whose name I can't remember. However, they did a terrible job of packing my things. Lots of things broken. I have a lot of mirrored and glass furniture and almost everything is cracked or broken. Thousands of dollars worth of damage!! My dresser from Z gallerie that has mirrored drawers is cracked and the wood is dinged. My kitchen table is all glass and is completely ruined. All of my dishes were just crumbled. Glass coffee table that is constructed of all one piece is broken so impossible to fix! An all mirrored vanity from Horchow was dinged up and a piece of glass fell out of it. But - that isn't the worst of it! Mike told me that when I was ready to get my furniture that they would get it to me next day!!! I have just been through a divorce and I was moving from Newport Beach to Denver. I shopped for a place in Denver and then decided I would probably be happier in California. I found a place in San Diego. I called to tell them that I only needed them to take the furniture to San Diego and wanted it as soon as they could get it here . It took them almost two weeks to get my furniture to me. A far cry from WEST COAST MOVERS(Mike) PROMISE of the next day !! I knew it would probably take a few days but TWO WEEKS!! And, I had to keep calling and asking them what was going on. When they were finally coming, I had called Cassie and she said it would be the next day at 11:00. The guy driving the truck, Tim, called me at 10:30 and said he was on his way. I believe he asked for my address and he wasn't aware that he was coming to San Diego. He thought he was dropping off where they picked up! That was strange to me since they picked up at my storage unit. Anyway, he seemed miffed that they had to come to San Diego since he was in Tustin at the time. I called his number about 3 hours later to see what happened to him and couldn't get an answer so I called Cassie and she told me they were still loading the truck and hadn't even left yet. I was annoyed. I said why couldn't Tim call me or you call me to let me know? I've been sitting here for 3 hours waiting and could be doing things with my time. She then tells me they will be leaving soon for San Diego. I think they finally arrived at 7:30. Tim and his coworker had a nasty attitude from the moment they arrived. Instead of being apologetic for being late, they were complete jerks! They then informed me how much more money it would cost because it was upstairs and down a hallway and the different prices for different entrances. Like I would want to pay more for them to come in through a different entrance???? Of course I wanted them to come in the cheapest way. Unfortunately, it involved them coming up some stairs. A tenant in my apartment building overhead them say they would trash my things coming up the stairs. I have a strong friend that was at my place to help me unpack. He saw their bad attitude and he ended up doing almost all of the work!! He took almost all the boxes upstairs to my apartment. The only things they brought up were the 2 beds and a couple dressers. He's the one who should've been paid for the job! They unloaded the truck and he brought the stuff up to the apartment. They also did not set up the beds or anything at all! I was under the impression that was part of the deal. I guess not! The worst part is that they stole my clothes, and who knows what else they stole because I didn't have an inventory sheet with me of my things. My clothes are not cheap! I buy things at nice stores like Neiman Marcus! I think they stole two wardrobe boxes of them. I've looked everywhere. They also stole expensive designer purses from my boxes. I had one Gucci purse that was worth $2,000 that is missing. I don't know for sure if they are responsible for the purse or some other thief!! I do know they are responsible for thousands of dollars worth of clothing including a London Fog winter coat worth $1,000 and many more things that I am sick about!!! I am newly divorced and do not have the money to replace these items. These people are unethical thieves to say the least. Oh and I can't forget to tell you this. I paid Tim in cash of course. $1,850. He left it sitting on my kitchen counter. He said he put it in an envelope but he didn't because I saw it just sitting out. We left our doors open during the move and for awhile nobody was in the apartment and I assume somebody helped themselves to the cash. My friend saw his paperwork sitting out and stuck it in a drawer (which must have been after his cash had been taken because there was no cash there). Anyway, they were blaming us for taking their money!!!! I told Tim there was no way that happened and that he shouldn't leave his money sitting on the counter like that. They just stayed around harassing until the next evening, trying to get me to pay them again, etc. I couldn't believe the whole ordeal!! Now that I know what they did
