| - I do not like writing negative reviews. But, it's responsible to the public who wants to be in the 'know' , right? I am sad to say we are not highly satisfied with Poolman for our pool service. As of today, ( and about 1 month in our new home), we are looking for other options on pool maintenance. My husband and I have the BBB +Salt Package. It runs about $80+ per month. In the course of a month, today was our second written complaint to them. Here is why. The first week, the pool tech showed up on a Monday morning. He seemed thorough and he left a note, as he should detailing his service and how we could not use our pool for 24 hours due to the chemical balancing. We understood that, as there was a lapse from the seller to us , the new owners with pool service. We liked the details in said note. Next week , the pool tech showed up and he was thorough.. he seemed to go above and beyond and was skimming the top of the pool/ NOT included in what we pay for; only the baja shelves. I thot, 'nice!'. Next week.. and thereafter .. ALL downhill. No notation of anything other than baskets being emptied and pool and baskets cleaned. Have the chemicals been balanced ? It would appear not. Oh. This tech arrived on Tuesday. The tech put that he arrived at 1043am.. No. He arrived at 1330pm. It's no big deal , but make note of truth on said note, or we will question you on other things. Am I right? We have watched our salt cell build up with calcium and not be cleaned . We pay for that lease and that service. The last week, we were home and working in our garage. We watched the tech pull up , look at us in our garage .. and drive a bit down the street; he parked and sat in his Poolman truck doing ? He managed to seemingly 'sneak in' the side gate to the back when we were deep in the garage and get out of our back yard and pool area within just a few minutes. What the heck was that about ? How did he maintenance the pool so quickly ? I guess he wanted no interaction with the homeowners?? Weird and I smelled a rat. He left a mess of shock around where he dumped it into the pool ; did not clean the build up on the salt cell; left open the power box , ( what if it had rained and we weren't home ?). We emailed Poolman. We were told a 'discussion' would be had with the tech. A discussion has to be had for the tech to do his job correctly ?? This week.. he cleaned the salt cell and left the scraping mess all around the pump area and ground. He did not notate the chemicals again, which are to be balanced bi-weekly. Render me confused ! Poolman seems to monopolize our new gated neighborhood, but so far.. we aren't a fan. We will see if they make their service up to par and what we are paying for; but two emails in a month??? I'm thinking not.
