  • We loved our class at the little gym! We came for bring a friend day and I was so impressed. I have a bachelors degree in family and infant/child development and I thought this class was very appropriate for my 8 month old son. He thoroughly enjoyed it and it made me so happy to see it! I thought the structure and timing of all the activities was perfect. I also liked practicing introducing my son to other adults in a controlled environment where he didn't have to be separated from me for too long but still got to experience the idea of object permanence in that he knew he would see me again even though I was not in sight, very beneficial for development but I can understand how some people can be uneasy about it but that's why doing it for a few minutes once a week in a controlled exercise is an excellent opportunity to gain those crucial social skills! I was so impressed with the level of skill my son was actually able to complete the exercises as well! I left with a better understand of what he was personally able to accomplish just be being introduced to the different exercises. We also loved Miss Iza, from the second we walked in she was so energetic and sweet and asked to pick up my son and was so engaging with him. We signed up that very same day! And as an extremely busy mom of three boys that are in a lot of fun sports, art classes, and academic programs I cannot afford to waste time on classes I don't think will actually enrich my children lives, but this gymnastics class clearly does! Also in closing I just wanted to mention as a mother of a child with ADHD (a serious mental health issue) ADHD is not caused by over stimulation, sugar, red dye number 5 or anything similar. It's a genetic pre disposition and I actually find frequent physical activity along with a proper medication supervised by a psychiatric provider is extremely beneficial to helping my son focus, but it does not GIVE him ADHD. But again to summarize, we love the little gym!!!
