Too good to be true...because its not true! I recently purchased a couch and loveseat set from Mega Furniture. Although the price was marked at $1200 dollars for the set, the sales lady let me know that it was on sale for $599, but "I better hurry because the sale ends Saturday." I was confused by the price tag but the price she offered was fantastic. I was a little irritated when I got home and found the set in their advertisement in the mail for $499 with the sales running thru the next week, but still went back with to purchase the set the next day (with the ad). I was told the set was in stock today and ready to go, however was not told until after I paid that I had to drive to the warehouse that is 40 miles away to pick it up. Part of the reason I choose this store was the fact that it is less than a mile from my home.
I figured out a way to get to the warehouse and picked up the set. They were both wrapped in a cloth cover, cardboard, and plastic. While I was in the office waiting to be helped, the workers loaded the furniture onto my trailer with ever acknowledging me or giving me an opportunity to see the set. Since they were still in the packaging and loaded, I took them home. When we unpacked them at home I found that both pieces had glue stains on the arms. I called the store who transferred me to the warehouse. After multiple days trying to call, I finally got a hold of someone only to be told that because I had not paid the $100 delivery fee, I would have to find a way to get them back to the store or pay $100 to have them replaced. APPARENTLY I HAVE TO PAY ADDITIONAL $ TO FIX THEIR PRODUCT. Very disappointed with the service and products. Will never use this company again. If you do make sure to add a $100 delivery charge to "ensure the product is not damaged"-as I was told by both the store manager and warehouse manager.
