| - This is the only Target in the CU area, so there are no alternatives to shopping here other than the jankety Mejer across the street, the ever-so-slightly less jankety Mejer over in Urbana, and so forth. I have been to Target stores all over the country, from Oakland, CA to Charleston, SC and each and every one tends to reflect the demographics of the area within which it is situated. The one in Champaign strikes an odd balance, therefore, making available gluten free frozen dinners and giving lots of space to the hip, twenty-something women's fashion that UIUC undergrads would want to buy. It's a small store and does a basic job. I wish there were more diversity of products, especially in housewares. I can't believe I am reviewing a Target store, by the way. It can only go downhill from here. Anyway, when I really want a more well-rounded selection, I hit up the Targets in the Chicago area and I am assuming that is what everyone is pretty much relegated to if they are as obsessed as I am about stocking up on lightbulbs, perusing greeting cards, and making sure all my panties match all the bras I wear.
