I have been to this buffet several times since it opened and it is still one of the best out there. I went this past Father's Day for the gourmet dinner. To me it seems no different than any other dinner I have had there other than the price was higher. The service was good but not great.
I come here for the King Crab legs and seafood for the most part. I have to say that the quality of the crab was down from previous visits. Half of each batch was very small and some of it soggy. More the size of even smaller snow crab legs. It was a bit under whelming as I expected the larger higher quality I had had every other time. The sushi, poke and rolls were good but not great. There were several made to order rolls featuring 3 types of fish roe. These were very good. The other several seafood selections were good as well. The selection was again a bit more limited than in the past. The prime rib and lamb chops were very good as were the veggie selections.
My wife and daughter had the cold shrimp which they enjoyed. They concentrated more on the non-seafood items like the several offerings at the carving table and various hot sides such as mac and cheese, mashed potatos, veggies and other like creations. They said it was all good but nothing particularly great. At this point I was so full I did not try the desert but they tried several small samples none of which were anything off the hook notable.
All in all I would try this place one more time and hope it was better before I give up on it. Understand that the crab is my main criteria for judging this place. Others may see this differently.
