My father and I had VIP tickets for the show and it was a great pleasure for both of us from the start to the end. There is also a nice VIP lounge where you can relax before the show. We were provided with complimentary wine and popcorn upon admission, and we loved it! The show was spectacular and there was a story to the show which was well understood.
I loved the fact that the performance captured the theme of childhood and it was well performed with exuberance by young professional performers. The music was a bang on for me as well. Besides, VIP holders were given more complimentary food and gifts during the intermission, and we really appreciated the great service and hospitality.
The only catch for me was that, although I really liked the funny male actor who gave us lots of warm laughter, he did not have his moment to say goodbye at the end of the show. I think he deserved his own moment to do so because I thought he was one of the main characters. In addition, although I understand that the bike performance captures the main character's freedom of childhood, I thought it could end with something more spectacular involving the whole group of performers (e.g. I really loved the string performance by the whole group).
Overall, I would highly recommend Torontonians to attend the performance while it is still performing. This was my first Cirque du Soleil experience, and I think I will check out the upcoming performance of the group in the future. Thank you very much for the great show and service in Toronto. I wish the group all the best.
