We heard they were having a special on "boat noodles" for five dollars a bowl so we stopped in to try them. They were absolutely perfect. We had the beef noodles, with generous chunks of beef and beef meatballs in a dark rich broth. They are called boat noodles because, traditionally, this type of noodle was served on the river from a seller in a boat. In Bangkok, these are usually very small bowls. Here, they are American sized and a bowl is a good lunch or a light meal.
A simple thing, done perfectly. And at five bucks, quite the bargain. We'll go back for dinner some other time.
This restaurant is a bit nicer than the average Thai restaurant in terms of ambiance and the service was rapid, quick and bilingual.
