First thing to note is that Death of Vinyl specializes in used records only - not new pressings / reissues. The store is located a little bit north of the popular "Plateau Mont-Royal" area where the majority of Montreal's vinyl stores are - but if used vinyl is what you are looking for, then a trip up to Death of Vinyl is worth your time.
I spent a good hour digging around the 70's and 80's Rock bins at Death of Vinyl this weekend and I had great time, found some great albums in good condition at good prices. They were also having a 20% off almost everything sale - which was a total bonus.
The staff are friendly and everyone I spoke too had pretty good knowledge about different music genres and eras. I collect Rock music but they have a pretty big section of dance music, jazz, and classical - worth checking out if that's your thing. They also repair, sell, and rent turntables and stereo equipment and the tech guy who does the work is right there in the shop - which is pretty unique.
