Went here when I first moved to Montreal with some friends. We got our poutine to go and ate at the park nearby, which was really nice, but the poutine was somewhat soggy because of waiting for each other's orders and walking to the park.
I just returned to La Banquise with my dad and sister while they were visiting and we waited during the rush time for a table for only about 20 minutes even though the waiting area was packed with people. They have a lot of tables and clear them pretty quickly during rush hours. The poutine was delicious and not soggy in the slightest. It really was the best poutine I've had, and I've had my fair share. The only rival to it is Poutineville, but that's more expensive in general and marketed as "gourmet poutine."
You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Just try something that sounds good, everything they make is a delicious and unforgettable heart attack on a plate! :)
