A Hyundai has been a staple in my family ever since we moved here in 1992 and my parents got a '92 Elantra for the family. It was a sturdy machine, though trips to Banff would always be contentious with three young kids crammed in the back, a problem solved by a minivan in 1995. That first Elantra became my first shared vehicle when I got my license: it served for endless amusement driving around with my friends, playing Dr. Dre and Nirvana through my old Discman and the tape adapter.
Precision Hyundai used to be located on Macleod Tr, immediately before the cemetery hill that affords such a glorious view of downtown, and has since moved to the Calgary Auto Mall, where it is closer and more convenient to get my dad's '04 Elantra serviced, and is a heartbeat away from the shopping extravaganza of Deerfoot Meadows. And the family's saga at Precision will continue in a couple of hours, when Kat and I go to pick up our first new car. Many more years of good health and service!
